‘Bolt Gold’ Nissan GT-R to Be Auction on The 22nd of November

Interested in getting your hands on the ‘Bolt Gold’ Nissan GT-R? Well, only one of these will be built and will be sold at a global online charity auction, the proceeds of which will go to the Usain Bolt Foundation.

The ‘Bolt Gold’ Nissan GT-R, based on the 2013 Nissan GT-R Premium Edition, will go to the highest bidder in a global online charity auction to be held on eBay from November 22 to December 2, 2012. Other than the Bolt Gold painting of the car, the Nissan GT-R will also sport a gold plate embossed with Bolt’s signature and his autograph.

The winner of the car should take delivery in March 2013.

The one-of-s-kind ‘Bolt Gold’ Nissan GT-R was first presented at a fan appreciation event hosted by Nissan in Yokohama On October 11.

The proceeds of the auction will go the Usain Bolt Foundation, which was established to support educational and cultural opportunities for children and young people in Bolt’s home country of Jamaica.

“This project excites me because it brings together my passion for speed and excellence, and my desire to help kids and young people,” said Usain Bolt. “Thanks to Nissan, all the revenue from the GT-R charity auction will be donated to the Usain Bolt Foundation, which will go directly to children to help develop their education and allow them to participate in sports. It warms my heart to help kids and young people who are in the starting blocks of life, and it would be wonderful if someday this activity leads to a ‘Second Bolt.’”
