That’s right; we’re talking about the 2013 Top Gear Festival in Durban! It takes place at the Moses Mabhida Stadium Durban from the 15 to 16 June 2013 and has one of the most exhilarating and diverse line ups ever!
At the live stadium you can find an action packed show presented by the Top Gear hosts; Clarkson, who has been described as “the most influential man in motoring journalism” (mainly by himself), Captain Slow, Hammond and The Stig. Local personalities as well as international drivers such as Mika Hakkinen, combined with the Top Gear team will definitely ensure a heart pouncing show filled with stunts, crashes and smashes.
The festivals line-up includes a street circuit, which was such a success last year that they brought it back this year only BIGGER AND BETTER! Expect to see some of the best live driving, stunts, races, challenges and just the best cars we have to offer as part of the festival. Anticipate to be blown away.
An exhibition stuffed with some of the best, most stylish, expensive and rare cars guarantees fun for the whole family too with an added display of the latest gadgets, luxury goods, car accessories and motoring tech.
Be sure to keep an eye out for the action zone where all the cool stuff will be happening if you’re an adrenalin junkie. Expect to see freestyle Motocross the Shell Stunt School and many more extremities.
A supposed highlight of this’ year’s Top gear Festival is a Formula 1 display with triple world Champions, Infiniti Red Bull Racing and the popular record shredding RB7 car with red Bull junior team member António Félix da Costa behind the wheel. If that doesn’t get you going keep in mind the RB7 has a top speed in excess of 330km/h…
Other highlights include two-time Formula 1 champion, Mika Häkkinen, the Franschhoek Motor Museum 90th Le Mans Tribute along with some very special “Grudge Matches” – and Power Laps with Top Gear’s mystery racing driver The Stig, who some say HAS THE SKIN TEXTURE OF A DOLPHIN, AND THAT WHERE EVER YOU ARE IN THE WORLD, IF YOU TUNE YOUR RADIO TO 88.4, YOU CAN ACTUALLY HEAR HIS THOUGHTS… ALL WE KNOW IS, HE’S CALLED THE STIG.
South Africa’s Giniel de Villiers will also showcase his Red Bull Toyota Dakar rally car, another first in Top Gear Festival history.
This is most definitely a festival not to be missed if you have any self-respect as a car loving man or woman.
If you still don’t have tickets get it, and get it NOW!
