Mini yesterday managed to set two new world records for the number of people inside both a classic Mini and a 2012 MINI as part of the eighth annual Guinness World Records day.
The records were set by a team of gym members from East Sussex. The first record entailed cramming 28 very flexible ladies into a Mini hatch at Potters Fields Park in London, beating their own previous record of 27 people.
The ladies were able to do this by making full use of every inch of space available in the Mini, including the dashboard, the footwells and they even managed to squeeze four people in the boot.
This was followed by the next record which saw 23 ladies squeezing into a classic Mini at the ITV studios to a live audience, beating the previous record by two people.
