The Revitalised Chevrolet Spark

The Revitalised Chevrolet Spark

Chevrolet used the 2012 Paris Motor Show to introduce the revitalised Chevrolet Spark.

It took us a couple of minutes to spot the differences on the exterior but there are differences.

At the front the Chevrolet Spark sports a redesigned dual-port-grille and front bumper as well as restyled head lamp covers and fog lamps. At the rear the centre high mounted LED brake light has been integrated to the rear spoiler. Other than that the alloy wheels have also been redesigned to accentuate the sportier, more grown up stance of the Chevrolet Spark.

The interior also receives some attention, with new décor elements incorporated to the interior and a remodelled centre console with enhanced storage.

The Chevrolet Spark is powered by a 1.0L 50kW and 93Nm engine or 1.2L 60kW and 111Nm petrol engine. Both engines require 5l/100km on a combined cycle, while CO2 emissions average 118 g/km.

Locally the Chevrolet Spark is available is available in three models; The Chevrolet Spark Campus, Spark 1.2 L and Spark 1.2 LS, all of which are powered by the same 1.2L 60kW engine. So it is our assumption that with the introduction of the revitalised Chevrolet Spark this model line-up will most likely remain the same, with regards to the engine options.

However, locally we have no word on when these changes will be introduced in South Africa.
