
The new Audi A3 received a five star Euro NCAP safety rating, achieving a 95% score for adult occupanant protection, 87% for child occupant protection, 74% for pedestrain safety and an 86% score for vehicle safety assist.
One of the main concerns on the Audi A3 was the insufficient information provided to the driver regarding the status of the passenger airbag system which can be disabled to allow a rearward-facing child restraint to be used in front passenger seat.
