Ferrari F12 Berlinetta Fuel Consumption

Ferrari F12 Berlinetta Fuel Consumption

The Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, which is the replacement of the Ferrari 599, is already giving other competitors a run for their money. One simple fact, the guys at Ferrari have produced a V12 that is capable of averaging 15 l/100kms.

This figure might be astonishingly high when compared to a normal cutesy little hatchback which averages 7 l/100km but in the supercar league it is a phenomenal fuel consumption figure for a car with a V12 engine.

The Mercedes S65 AMG  with its V12 engine has a combined cycle average of 14.3l/100km, which is lower than that of the F12 Berlinetta , but it relies heavily on it’s turbo charged engine compared to the  naturally aspirated  F12 Berlinetta.

All being said the performance is as always brilliant; the F12 Berlinetta produces 544kW and 690Nm, which is an improvement over the 599 GTO which produces 493KW and 620Nm. Unlike the 599 GTO it comes with the brilliant dual clutch transmission already used in the 458 and FF. The interior is the usual affair of leather and embroidery. The instrument gauge is similar to the 458′s and FF’s.

Aesthetically the F12 Berlinetta isn’t the prettiest Ferrari but with its sort of price tag one doesn’t need to care about looks, only form and function.
