Audi A6 L e-tron

Audi unveiled its first e-tron luxury model, the A6 L e-tron concept at the 2012 Beijing Motor Show.

The A6 L e-tron is capable of an 80km pure electric range at a 60 kph constant speed, and was specifically designed to meet Chinese market needs.

The technology study is a parallel hybrid. It brings together a 2.0 TFSI that outputs 155 kW (211 hp) and an electric motor with 70 kW (95 hp) peak power.

The styling of the A6 L e-tron concept is different from the production version of the A6 L. The front features a single frame grille with slender cross bars and nearly covered air intakes. The A6 L e-tron is shod with 21 inch e-tron design rims and a bespoke rear diffuser.

In the interior of the A6 L e-tron, the controls are intuitive and the tachometer gives way for the powermeter. Meanwhile, the energy flow indicator tells the driver the current operating mode and which hybrid drive components are currently active. It can be called up from the driver information system or MMI monitor.

The Audi A6 L is said to be Audi’s best selling model in China and is produced locally at the Changchun plant in a joint venture with FAW.
