The new generation Audi RS4 Avant was revealed last week at the Geneva Motor Show.
The RS4 Avant is powered by 4.2 liter V8engine, similar to that on the Audi RS5, producing 331Kw at 8,250 rpm with a maximum torque of 430Nm. The RS4 Avant accelerates from zero to 100km/h in a claimed 4.7 seconds.
The 4.2 litre engine is coupled to a 7-speed S tronic gearbox and a four wheel drive quattro system which typically sends 60 percent of its power to the rear axle and 40 to the front. This split can change to as much as 80 percent to the rear axle and 60 percent to the front axle depending on road conditions. All of which ensures complete stability and traction whatever the situation.
According to Carmag, the RS4 Avant will be introduced in South Africa in early 2013.
